  One day,a little monkey is playing by the well.

  Then,the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch .

  And he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.

  All the other monkeys follow his suit,

  And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.

  Just before they reach the moon,the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky,

  Virtue
  Many years after recei*ing my graduate degree, I returned to the State Uni*ersity of New York at Binghamton as a faculty member. One day in a crowded ele*ator, someone remarked on its inefficiency. I said the ele*ators had not changed in the 20 years since I began there as a student.
  When the door finally opened, I felt a compassionate pat on my back, and turned to see an elderly nun smiling at me. "You'll get that degree, dear," she whispered. "Perse*erance is a *irtue."
