The Princess Building is a treasure of the Badaguan scenic spot architectural complex in Qingdao. It is a Nordic pastoral villa, designed and built by the Russian designer W.G. You Lifu. Its modelling is concise, fluent, delicate and exquisite, below the set off of blue sky and green tree appear noble and elegant, have a unique style.
The Princess Building is located at No.10 Juyongguan Road, covering an area of nearly 1,000 square meters, with a construction area of 721.98 square meters. The small building consists of a spire and an irregular sloping roof, with square platforms in the south; one floor underground and three floors above ground, and a courtyard. Today the house has a striking blue exterior wall and a red roof, with fountains, stone bridges and miniature castles visible in the courtyard, and the whole building has a fairy-tale atmosphere. Named from the legend of the princess
In the 1920s, the Danish prince traveled around the world on a luxury cruise ship. When his cruise ship came to the sea where the Badaguan was located, the prince felt that the place was near the sea and had pleasant scenery, especially suitable for vacation. The Danish consul in Qingdao was ordered to buy land here and design and build the Danish-style building. Originally it was to let his princess come to live in Qingdao to escape the summer, but the Danish princess has never come once, even so, this beautiful small building is still called the "princess building".
Over the years, the building, including some senior experts in literature and history, believe that the Princess Building on now Juyongguan Road was built in the 1930s and is related to a Prince of Denmark's visit to Qingdao in 1929, thus forming the beautiful legend of the Danish Princess Building.

Who is the owner of the Princess Building? Some people say it is the Danish consul in the Youth, Zhao Hengsheng, but the new archives show that the owner of the building is another person. Sun Tianmu territory, did not start construction on time. According to the construction regulations of the time, the lease must be conducted within 3 months, or the government has the right to recover the land. After receiving the construction, Sun Tianmu applied to the then Qingdao Finance Bureau for construction extension. According to later archives, Sun Tianmu had transferred the block to a foreigner, THAAD, until September 1940. Under the system at that time, foreigners renting land in Qingdao was greatly restricted (up to 30 years), and Sun Tianmu should rent the land on behalf of Sad. Who is what THAAD like? However, some information can be extracted from his application for tree cutting in September, such as the address registered at 5 Qixia Road, which is the address of the French Consulate in Qingdao.
