1.项目介绍
The Master’s of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Biomedical Engineering is a professional Masters Program for students who are focused on a career in industry. The 32 credit curriculum ensures that students looking for a career in the healthcare sector gain fundamental technology, technology development and commercialization skills important to biomedical engineers. Students in the M.Eng degree program develop deep technical skills through advanced biomedical engineering courses and are exposed to issues related to product development, intellectual property and commercialization. In addition, students complete a practicum, a program requirement fulfilled through our Advanced Biomedical Design and Development course which engages students with the clinical community to identify and develop novel engineering solutions to medical problems.
The flexible Master’s of Engineering program can be completed in as little as one year of full-time study. An internship, if desired, will extend the length of the program. Part-time options are also available.、

B.Master’s of Science Program

The Master’s of Science (MS) Program in Biomedical Engineering is a degree program designed to provide advanced training in biomedical engineering. The program requires students to establish the necessary foundation in molecular- or systems-level biology/physiology and mathematics, in addition to advanced biomedical engineering coursework. All students are required to complete a practicum.
Students may satisfy the practicum requirement by completing an approved project. Alternatively, students may satisfy the practicum requirement by developing a research focus and carrying out original research that culminates in a written thesis.
The program is designed to be completed by full-time students in one calendar year. Students choosing to complete a thesis should expect to complete the program in two years. Students who excel in the BME MS program are encouraged to continue in the BME post-MS PhD program.

*ENG BE 790 Biomedical Engineering Seminar (0 cr)

Students will undertake a suitable research project supervised by a faculty member of the department or an
external faculty member deemed acceptable by the BME Graduate Committee. Although only 8 credits of
BE 900 may be applied to the 36 required for the degree, students are expected to register for ENG BE 900

*If offered admission, all students that matriculate to Boston University will be required to provide an
official transcript from their previous academic institution, indicating their previously earned degree(s).
*If your original transcript is not in English, and your college or university does not provide a translation
of your transcript, you will be required to provide an official translation of your transcript along with the
original.

Students should complete and upload the Statement of Purpose before submitting the online application.

have an overall score of at least 100 in order to be eligible for a Teaching Fellowship, Teaching assistant, or
Research assistant.
we are unable to admit students directly to our Graduate Programs if you do not meet the minimum requirements. If your TOEFL score does not meet our minimum requirements we strongly recommend
retaking the exam during the admissions review process to obtain an admissible TOEFL score. You can take
the exam as many times as you would like. If you are offered admission and your TOEFL score is below our
required minimum, you will have until your deadline to respond to our offer of admission to provide updated
scores that meet the requirements.
A TOEFL score below the minimum requirements will not deny you admission to the program; if the
review committee deems you to be academically qualified for the program, you may be required to attend
English classes at our Center for English Language and Orientation Program (CELOP) in your first semester of
studies at BU.
Note that this is an intensive English language program; you will not be taking engineering courses concurrent with CELOP. Once you complete CELOP and demonstrate English proficiency, you will be offered
formal admission to the College of Engineering.

初中学习方法There is no specific application to apply for financial aid. Any student that wishes to apply for financial aid should use the online application, under the “College Information” tab. Question 3 on this tab is “Do you want to be considered for financial aid”. In order to have your application considered for financial aid, students must select “yes” in this box, and submit their application by the required deadline.
四、申请后
1.申请是否完整
Once the application is complete, the Graduate Programs Office will forward the entire application to the
respective admissions committee to review. Applicants will be notified when their application is complete and forwarded via email. Please do not assume your application is complete until you receive an email notifying you it is complete from the Graduate Programs Office.
As long as your application has been submitted by the deadline, we accept credentials post-deadline. Please
keep in mind that your application cannot be reviewed until all of the necessary credentials have been
received by our office. Applications are sent over for review once they are complete.

Do not mail documents to the Graduate Programs Office or the Application Processing Center. These documents will not be stored and if you are offered admission you will be required to provide them in a specific manner.

International students not receiving financial aid will be notified by the Graduate Programs Office of the financial documentation necessary to be offered formal admission and issued an I-20. Boston University is required by the U.S. government regulations to provide documentation of adequate funding for educational expenses for the first year of studies.
Students should NOT send financial documents until they are requested to do so by the Graduate Programs Office

1.An original, signed Financial Sponsorship Certification which indicates that your sponsor is willing and
able to support you financially for your academic fees and living expenses for the first year of your studies at Boston University.
2.An official bank statement or credit reference from a bank stating the availability of the minimum
estimated expenses. The name on this document needs to match the name on the signed Financial Sponsorship Certification. This document should be written in English and the sum should be indicated in U.S. Dollars.

1.条件录取
不提供。No, we do not offer conditional admission to any of our graduate programs. Your application cannot be reviewed until we receive all of the required application materials。
2.多专业申请
To get started, select the programs to which you want to apply. You can add additional programs at any time before the application deadline. Your application details will be shared with the programs you choose.
*每申一个专业交一次费，重新提交一次申请：Students who are interested in applying to more than one department/division must submit an application for each department/division and pay the application fee.
*每申请一个专业交一次推荐和扫描成绩单：Students must provide letters of recommendation and upload scanned copies of original transcripts for each application; the Graduate Programs Office is unable to transfer letters of recommendation and transcripts from one application to another.
3.材料扫描上传
The file size limit for individual uploaded documents is 2000K and cannot be exceeded, this includes transcripts. All files should be in .doc, .rtf, .txt, or .pdf format. We recommend that you scan your documents at a minimum of 150 dpi for economy of size while maintaining legibility.
If have one large document that exceeds the maximum file size, you may want to break it into smaller documents for uploading.
