After nine years since its last edition(版本),the 12th edition of Xinhua Dictionary came out in August,2020. It has added new words and expressions mostly from the Internet.
The new edition of the dictionary has added a QR code to each page, too. It allows readers to scan(扫描)the code to learn how to correctly write the character(汉字) and hear the pronunciation so we can say the word correctly.
This is the first time that Xinhua Dictionary has brought out an app and printed copies at the same time.
