ther wassplendid on that day, which i thought was rare. i still remember some people toldme that in britain there was weather and no climate. during the same day, it mightsnow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before thenight falls. so i think i was lucky.
i think the rivertrip was the best thing of all. london really came alive for me as we saw it fromthe thames during that wonderful journey down to greenwich. it was all tremendouslyexciting - a day that i shall never forget.
