Helen Keller, born in 1880, was an American author, activist, and lecturer. She lost her sight and hearing at a young age but learned to communicate through sign language, touch, and Braille. With the help of her teacher Anne Sullivan, Keller became the first deaf-blind person to graduate from college. She wrote several books, including her autobiography, "The Story of My Life," which inspired many and has been translated into over 50 languages.
