教学设计说明
    经过多年的英语学习,五年级学生的认知水平已经在不断提高,抽象逻辑思维和创造思维也有了较大发展,并且对英语有较浓厚的学习兴趣,也有一定的基础。但在这个阶段,学生的英语实际应用能力是非常有限的,这也促使他们十分渴望能用英语解决日常生活中的实际问题,在实践中提高自己的英语水平。所以在教学设计方面,教师要针对其年龄特点以及已有的基础,采用文本再构、创设真实的情境让学生去学习语言,运用语言。还要通过各种有趣的活动
帮助学生将枯燥的语言变得生动而又易于记忆,让学生在感知、体验和参与中获取知识,形成能力。
在学习本单元前,学生已在四年级学习了表示各个房间的英文词汇,如:living room, bedroom等;同时,本单元要学习的单词与学生的实际生活息息相关,如photo, water bottle, bike, plant, clock等; 这样的学习很大程度引起了学生的兴趣,大大丰富了学生日常交流的元素,为日后的学习奠定基础。
单元教学任务分析

新版PEP五年级英语上册第五单元主题 There is a big bed,通过围绕“房间”这一话题,创设了各种房间的情景,让学生能够掌握与房间物品有关和表达方位的英语词汇,并能用There be句型对房间的物品摆设和位置进行描述,在创设的情境中联系实际生活,用There be句型正确地描述出某处有某物。
本单元涉及到的与房间物品和方位有关的词汇有:photo, water bottle, bike,plant、clock,i
n front of , beside, between, behind,above。而在句型方面,要让学生能够理解There be句型的含义,并且能掌握并运用There be句型进行问答练习,如:—Whats in your bedroom? —There is .....  —Where is the ......? —Its in front of the ....... —Whats in front —There is .....in
本单元围绕bedroom、room、house、home等情景,先采取Zhang Peng与其他朋友之间的对话形式,对他的房间环境进行介绍、了解,从而贯穿本单元与房间摆设有关的词汇以及句型,最后再采用Zoom和Zip两个人物去在讨论Where is the cans home?的故事形式,对整个单元的内容进行巩固总结,使学生能够对自己的房间进行描述,掌握如何表述某处有某物,运用某物在某处的There be句型,联系生活,增加其说英语的自信心。

2、知识要点介绍
1)能够听、说、读、写photo, water bottle, bike,plant,clock,in front of , beside, between, behind,above这11个词汇。
2)能够掌握及运用There be句型进行回答练习,包括:—Whats in your bedroom? —There is .....  —Where is the ......? —Its in front of the ....... —Whats in front —There is .....in
3)能够学习并掌握辅音字母组合ai,ay在单词中的发音规律,做到发音准确、到位。
4)通过学习,能够进一步了解房间的摆设及方位的描述,并做到联系实际用There be句型表达某处有某物,以增强说英语的自信心。
