教我们的老师是位女老师，她长得很文静很秀气，第一节课老师教我们一些常用语，我们学的很起劲，不知不觉的第一节课就过去了。第二节课老师教我们字母的写法，我们写的很认真，不知不觉到了放学的时候，我们才依依不舍的离开了教室。今天上午可真快乐呀！我喜欢英语，妈妈希望我长大后能像外国人一样说一口流利的外语，我也希望这样。

经过紧张的复习和准备，终于到了5月20日---参加全国小学生英语竞赛决赛的日子。

早上八点四十分，我就来到了决赛的场地----四海小学，我到位子坐下来后，发现周围的同学都很严肃,我也不禁紧张起来。
我们华工附小五年级进决赛的有四位同学，分别是五（2）班的何皓霖、劳轩毅，五（3）班的彭承志和五（4）班的我。要知道，他们三个的英语可都是超厉害的呀！而且进入决赛
后，竞争对手的实力都很强，我能如愿取得好成绩吗？精忠报国的意思
九点钟，比赛开始了，教室里鸦雀无声，只听到同学们翻动试卷的声音。我也投入到紧张的答题之中。一个小时后，比赛结束。
我觉得这次试题不能说很难，但是也不能说很简单。听力部分比较简单，我最怕的智力题竟然也出意料地简单，不过，很可惜，我还是由于粗心错了一题，而且错得非常乌龙：题目中有8张猫的图片，要我们出两张一样的，我在把试卷交上去的一瞬间发现，我选的两张图片虽然看上去一模一样，但是两只猫却是一只有胡子，一只没有。唉！这一分丢得太不应该啦！伤心ing。
我觉得这次考试的语法和阅读理解部分比初赛难，我自以为自己掌握的词汇量比较多，但是仍然有几个词是我不懂的，这就使我对个别问题的回答不是很有把握。
这次考试的作文也不是我们特别熟悉的话题，题目是假设自己的爸爸是个警察，要介绍一下他的工作和生活。虽然我也写了70多个单词（题目要求是不低于60个单词），但是觉得没有以前写作文那么有话说。以前竞赛，我的作文经常是写到100字左右的。
