PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing the sense of incongruity given to an appreciating person by a composite image obtained by compositing an insertion image into a base image.
SOLUTION: An image correction unit 102 executes image correction processing for an insertion image so that a face feature parameter of an image of a person as an inserted image may match a face feature average parameter derived by a face feature parameter deriving unit 101, and an image insertion position decision unit 104 decides the position where the image subjected to image correction by the image correction unit 102 is inserted into the base image. Accordingly, the face feature average parameter for an image of each person of the base image matches the face feature parameter for an image of a person as the insertion image, both the parameters being included in the composite image in which the insertion image is composited to an insertion position of the base image, thereby preventing the sense of incongruity given to a person who appreciates the composite image while paying attention to the image of a person.
