汤姆索亚是一个说好不好，说坏不坏的野孩子，一眼就能看出他是一个缺乏管教的坏孩子。但是，在那个年代，这种“坏孩子”似乎很受很多小孩喜欢，似乎以他为典范。这不是学坏了吗?!错，大错特错!看看所谓的“好孩子”吧。他们好在哪?好在成绩好，有礼貌。那他们就真的好了吗?不是。他们缺乏了对朋友的仗义，对其他比自己“差”的孩子的真诚，英勇和坚强。而这些东西正好在“坏孩子”身上得以表达。我觉得这是一个马克吐温的挖苦点。当然，如今的孩子大多是成绩不坏，有礼貌，仗义，有诚意，英勇和坚强。
