The 2021 Shaanxi Zhuanshengben English Test Was Really Crazy!
Hi everyone! My name is Little Wang and I'm gonna tell you all about the big important English test that happened in Shaanxi province in 2021 for students trying to go from junior college to a bachelor's degree university. It was seriously nuts!
So this test is called the "zhuanshengben" which basically means "upgrading from junior college". Students who already finished three years at a junior college can take this test to try and get into a four-year university. Pretty cool, right? Getting to move up like that if you do well.
But the English part of the test in 2021 was just bonkers! You would not believe how hard
junior是什么意思and weird it was. I have some older cousins who took it and they were freaking out about it for months afterwards.
The reading part was okay at first. There were some passages about science topics like black holes and quantum physics. Tricky vocabulary for sure, but not too crazy. ThenBAM! They threw in an ancient Greek philosophy passage filled with big old-timey words that nobody uses anymore. Like "ontological" and "epistemological"? What even are those?! My cousins had to guess half the meanings from context clues.
Then the h man. The poor test takers had to write a theoretical essay about "the duality of light as a particle and wave and its implications for our fundamental understanding of the universe." Come on! That's the kind of topic you'd expect for a doctoral thesis at a fancy university, not for regular undergrads just trying to upgrade their degree. My cousins all left that question blank because they had no clue what to even say.
But you know what section really took the cake and made that test a legendary nightmare? The listening part! The people speaking had these thick British accents and talk
ed crazy fast about economics concepts and statistical analysis methods. My cousins could barely understand any words, let alone comprehend the content. They were all sweating buckets by the end of that cruel listening torture.
So to sum it up, the reading had random unnecessary难词, the writing prompt was suuuuuper 难题 on an expert-level topic, and the listening was pure 难听with harsh accents and complex subjects. Whoever made that test must have been siked on 怪力乱神 juice or something! It was just 太难了啦! A zhuanshengben test should be reasonable for regular junior college graduates, not designed to traumatize the whole province's youth.
My cousins said tons of people left halfway through the test crying and saying it was impossible. I bet the score averages were lower than a whale's belly that year! Anyway, that's my unofficial kid's review of the insane 2021 Shaanxi zhuanshengben English test. If it's that crazy again next time, I'm just going to become a farmer and grow some nice safe veggie crops. Much less stressful than that needlessly difficulty English nonsense! Phew!

The 2021 Shaanxi University Upgrade Exam English Essay - What Was It?
Hi friends! Today I want to tell you all about the English essay part of the big university upgrade test that happened in Shaanxi Province in 2021. It was a very important test for students who had already finished university and wanted to get an even higher degree. The English essay section was really interesting and different from other tests I've taken before. Let me explain what it was like!
First of all, the essay question wasn't just one simple prompt like "Write about your favorite hobby" or anything boring like that. No way! Instead, they gave us a bunch of different reading passages, charts, pictures, and other materials all about one big topic. For the 2021 test, the topic was something called "Sustainable Tourism."
What is sustainable tourism? Well, it's all about finding ways for people to travel, go on vacations, and see amazing sites without damaging the environment or disrupting the local communities too much. It's a really important idea because tourism is huge nowadays with so many people wanting to explore our incredible world. But if we're not careful, all those to
urists could really mess up fragile ecosystems and historic places. Sustainable tourism aims to let people experience different cultures while still preserving them for future generations. Makes sense, right?
