101 The One Where Monica Gets a New Roommate (The Pilot-The Uncut Version)

[Scene: Central Perk, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and Monica are there.]

Monica: There’s nothing to tell! He’s just some guy I work with!
Monica: 没什么好说的！他只是我的同事！
Joey: C’mon, you’re going out with the guy! There’s gotta be something wrong with him!

Chandler: All right Joey, be nice. So does he have a hump? A hump and a hairpiece?
Chandler: 好了Joey，别这样。他是驼背吗？一个戴假发的驼背？
Phoebe: Wait, does he eat chalk?
Phoebe: 等等，他吃粉笔吗？
(They all stare, bemused.)
(他们互相凝视，很茫然。)
Phoebe: Just, ’cause, I don’t want her to go through what I went through with Carl- oh!
Monica: Okay, everybody relax. This is not even a date. It’s just two people going out to dinner and- not having sex.

Chandler: Sounds like a date to me.
Chandler: 听上去像是我的约会。
[Time Lapse]

Chandler: Alright, so I’m back in high school, I’m standing in the middle of the cafeteria, and I realize I am totally naked.
Chandler: 好吧，我回到了高中，站在自助餐厅中间，然后我意识到自己是完全赤裸的。
All: Oh, yeah. Had that dream.
All: Oh，yeah。做过那样的梦。
Chandler: Then I look down, and I realize there’s there.

Joey: ?

Chandler: That’s right.
Chandler: 没错。
Joey: Never had that dream.
Joey: 从没做过那样的梦。
Phoebe: No.
Phoebe: 没做过。
Chandler: All of a sudden, the phone starts to ring. Now I don’t know what to do, everybody starts looking at me.
Chandler: 突然电话开始响了，接下来我不知道该做什么，大家都开始看我。
Monica: And they weren’t looking at you before?!
Monica: 他们之前都没有看你吗？
Chandler: Finally, I figure I’d better answer it, and it turns out it’s my mother, which is very-very weird, because- she never calls me!
Chandler: 最后，我决定最好还是接电话，然后就传来了我妈的声音，这是很奇怪的，因为，她从不给我打电话。
[Time Lapse, Ross has entered.]
[时间流逝，Ross进来了。]
Ross: (mortified) Hi.
Ross: (有气无力) Hi.
Joey: This guy says hello, I wanna kill myself.
Joey: 听到那个家伙打招呼，我就想自杀。
Monica: Are you okay, sweetie?
Monica: 你还好吧，亲爱的？
Ross: I just feel like someone reached down my throat, grabbed my small intestine, pulled it out of my mouth and tied it around
Ross: 我感觉好像有人掐住我的喉咙，抓起我的小肠，从我嘴里拉出来，然后缠到了我的脖子上...。
Chandler: Cookie?
Chandler: 饼干？
Monica: (explaining to the others) Carol moved her stuff out today.
Monica: (向其他人解释) Carol今天把她的东西都搬走了。
Joey: Ohh.
Joey: Ohh.
Monica: (to Ross) Let me get you some coffee.
Monica: (对Ross说) 我给你拿点咖啡吧。
Ross: Thanks.
Ross: 谢谢。
Phoebe: Ooh! Oh! (She starts to pluck at the air just in front of Ross.)
Phoebe: Ooh! Oh! (她开始在Ross面前扇动空气。)
Ross: No, no don’t! Stop cleansing my aura! No, just leave my aura alone, okay?
Ross: 不，不用！别给我清理灵气！不用理我的灵气，好吗？
Phoebe: Fine! Be murky!
Phoebe: 好！继续郁闷吧。
Ross: I’ll be fine, alright? Really, everyone. I hope she’ll be very happy.
Ross: 我会没事的，对吗？真的，伙计们，我希望她能过得快乐。
Monica: No you don’t.
Monica: 不，你不会的。
Ross: No I don’t, to hell with her, she left me!
Ross: 不，我不会的，让她见鬼去吧，是她抛弃了我！
Joey: And you never knew she was
Joey: 而你从不知道她是个同性恋...。
Ross: No!! Okay?! Why does everyone keep fixating on that? She didn’t know, how should I know?
Ross: 不知道，好吗？！为什么大家都只是注意到这一点？她都不知道，我怎么能知道？
Chandler: Sometimes I wish I was (They all stare at him.) Did I say that out loud?
Chandler: 有时候我倒希望我是个女同性恋... (大家都盯着他看。) 我大声说出来了吗？
Ross: I told mom and dad last night, they seemed to take it pretty well.
Ross: 我昨晚告诉爸妈了，他们看起来倒是差不多接受了。
Monica: Oh really, so that hysterical phone call I got from a woman at sobbing 3:00 A.M., "I’ll never have grandchildren, I’ll never have grandchildren." was what? A wrong number?
Monica: 真的吗，我凌晨三点接到一个歇斯底里的女人的电话，“我永远不会有孙子了，我永远不会有孙子了”，那是什么？拨错号码了？
Ross: Sorry.
Ross: 对不起。
Joey: Alright Ross, look. You’re feeling a lot of pain right now. You’re angry. You’re hurting. Can I tell you what the answer is?
Joey: 好了，Ross，瞧，你现在感觉很痛苦，你很生气，你觉得受了伤害。我能告诉你结果是怎样吗？
(Ross gestures his consent.)
(Ross示意他继续说。)
Joey: Strip joint! C’mon, you’re single! Have some hormones!
