A magician was working on a big ship from Friday night to Sunday night. Because different people watched the show each week, the magician always did the same tricks（戏法）over and over again.
Everything went on well, but the magician met a problem: There was a smart parrot（鹦鹉）on the ship. As the captain’s（船长的）favorite pet, he could go everywhere. He often saw the magician’s shows and began to know how he did each trick.
Once he knew about the tricks, he started shouting in the middle of the show.
